It’s the Final Countdown
October 14, 2022
I am very excited to share two projects that I have been working on for the past 8 months.
Real World Learning is a project that has been very dear to my heart for several reasons.
- It is an initiative from my hometown of Kansas City
- My high school, Fort Osage, is one of RWL’s success stories
- My sister is a teacher (in the Fort Osage district)
- My daughter is a teacher
- I think it is a really great program that I am behind 100%
We soft-launched the site last Thursday and it was officially unveiled at a Real World Learning event yesterday. I have documented a good portion of this journey with this project in my weeknotes. I plan to write a case study about the project soon.
Energy Efficiency Hub is the second version of a site LGND originally launched a year ago. We launched the second version of the site on Thursday ahead of an event that the Hub is hosting on Tuesday of next week.
The original site was a one-page site. Version two was a more robust site that tells the story of the Hub and its work with much more depth. The new site includes an extensive resource center.
This project gave me a chance to deepen my skills in building with Gutenberg blocks. I am very glad that we built the site with these blocks because there were changes to the site late in the project that were made easier to implement because I could just copy and paste blocks I had created into a different part of the page. I have also documented my journey with this site build and plan to write a case study in the near future.
