Penguins on Parade

This week, I am in Tulsa, Okla­homa. I am in the area vis­it­ing with peo­ple who sup­port our min­istry with Cam­pus Cru­sade for Christ. It has been great to see peo­ple again and I have enjoyed being back in Tulsa. My wife and I lived here for 1 1/2 years when we first got married.

As I have been dri­ving around, I wish I had my dig­i­tal cam­era. The other day, I started notic­ing pen­guins every­where. They were all painted some­thing dif­fer­ent. I have seen sev­eral other cities do some­thing sim­i­lar includ­ing Lawrence, Kansas where I went to col­lege. In Lawrence, they have Jay­hawks on Parade. In Tulsa, it is penguins.

Sure enough, some­one had a pic­ture of one of the pen­guins on Flickr. I did not see this par­tic­u­lar one. One that I saw that I really liked was a patri­otic pen­guin of red, white and blue.
