I Don’t Like Slow Internet

June 6, 2006

I have been traveling for the past two weeks in Arkansas and Oklahoma.  When I got to Arkansas, I was using dial-up to connect to the Internet from my mother-in-law’s house.  I knew that it was going to be a little irratating because I have gotten use to using broadband at home and having a high speed connection at work.  What I didn’t realize is how irratating.  From her house, I can only get a 26 connection.  AHHHHH!!!

I was very happy to get to Tulsa and get on the Net at Panera’s.  But the best was yet to come.  I visited a local library and they have high speed wireless Internet :)   I figured they would have it but only for patrons.  I believe my library in Orlando has wireless but you have to sign up for an account.  Maybe that has changed too.  All this to say, it was really nice to get back to high speed the last couple of days.  Tomorrow I leave to go back to Little Rock and the really slow connection.  One more reason to look forward to coming home next week.
