Week of March 2–8
Anastasia

This weekend, my youngest daughter performed in the musical Anastasia, the culmination of seven weeks of dedication and hard work. This show was especially meaningful for her, as it allowed her to combine two of her greatest passions—theater and dance.
As a Pas de Quatre dancer (ballet), she brought elegance to the stage while also taking on multiple ensemble roles. Having trained with the Chattanooga Ballet for 12 years, it was an absolute joy to see her dance again after a two-year hiatus.
She also portrayed Maria Romanov, one of the daughters of the Russian Czar, appearing throughout the show both as a living character and later as a haunting memory. With 10 costume changes—one in just 30 seconds—she fully embraced the demands of live theater.
Other highlights
- I began a maintenance contract with an agency in Florida, overseeing updates and ongoing support for their WordPress sites. As part of this role, I updated 41 different installations, including plugin updates and core software upgrades where needed. Moving forward, I’ll also be handling any issues that arise and implementing improvements based on their clients’ needs.
- I wrote an article about my WordPress-to-Craft CMS personal project. It was a chance to apply the skills and knowledge I gained by reacquainting myself with Craft through working through some courses on CraftQuest. I hope this article will help other WordPress developers explore this option of converting WordPress sites into Craft.
- Nine years ago, I wrote an a business case in response to a client who wanted to understand why our agency chose Craft CMS over WordPress. Given my renewed experience with Craft recently, I felt it was a great opportunity to update and refresh the original article for 2025. The updated article will be published on Monday.
- I spent time throughout the week reconstructing a two week trip I took to Budapest and adding those memories to my Memory Keeper project.
