Two losses to Texas in a week’s time have made me a little bit nervous. But I have decided to pick my Hawks to repeat as NCAA Champions. Rock Chalk!
I remember this passage from when I first read this book in college. The larger context is that Bridges was discussing how God takes all the events in our life–both good and bad–to work together for our ultimate good. This illustration really brought the point home to me.
I remember reading this passage laying on a couch in San Diego while on a Campus Crusade for Christ summer project.
Six years ago I tweeted the following: Wish there was a way to set height of element in proportion to width in CSS. So if I wanted a square, I could set height to 100% of width.
Today, I have a way to do that with aspect-ratio
. I could set aspect-ratio: 1
to achieve a square with an element.
I expanded this note into a blog post, Aspect-ratio and container query units six years later.
It was a year ago that my son and I visited Murray State University for the first time. He had an interview for a presidential fellowship scholarship on that day. We found out a week later that he had been awarded the scholarship. A year later, he is almost halfway through his second semester studying graphic design at Murray State.
My son wore the same sweatshirt to the Murray State basketball game that I attended with him a couple of weeks ago.
I traveled up to Murray State this weekend to spend time with my son and take in a Murray State basketball game. The Racers won by a point in overtime. It was the first time that I have seen a Murray State athletic team win this school year. I attended two volleyball games and a football game during family weekend in September and we saw the basketball team play in Chattanooga in November.
I went to see Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania with my youngest this afternoon. I think it is the best Marvel movie I have seen in the theater since Spider-Man: No Way Home. I did not get a chance to see Black Panther: Wakonda Forever in the theater so I will qualify it with that.
I have really enjoyed each of the Ant-Man movies. I did miss the three friends in this one. I hope to see them again in the future.
I started reading this one last night. I am really enjoying the background material and reliving moments from my childhood. I read two chapters about the ’76 and ’77 ALCS that the Royals lost both times.
I had seen the book in a Barnes & Noble when I was up in Kansas City in January. I watched the end of the Pine Tar game and watched the final outs when they had to replay weeks later. So I was interested in the book because I had a vested interest.
