Week of January 5–11

I spent the week recovering from COVID-19. This was my second time having it. I had it two years ago also in January. This time around was not as bad as the first. I had an intense headache for about 4 days the first time. I had a headache this time but not as bad. I was able to read much more this time around. I watched a lot of different movies and things on Netflix.

Snow Day

I was able to enjoy a snow day at the end of the week. A major storm went through our area and we ended up with five inches of snow. I joined my youngest daughter outside for about an hour to play in the snow. We threw snowballs, built a snowman, and she did her first snow angel. These days are rare so we try to take advantage of them when they come.

Selfie of my youngest daughter and I bundled up in front of a background of snow covered evergreens. She is wearing a crocheted hat that she made with a big yellow star in the middle on hat of darker and lighter blue horizontal stripes.

What I watched

I am still very impressed with Peter Jackson’s achievement in making The Lord of the Rings trilogy over 20 years ago. It is one of my favorite stories and I always enjoy watching it. I am glad I got to see The Two Towers at the theater last summer.
