Snow day
January 15, 2024
Today is a snow day in Chattanooga. Snow days like this one are rare where we live. The last significant snow day we had was in 2020. I can only think of 2 or 3 other times that we have had snow days like this in the 10+ years that we have called Chattanooga home.
I enjoy watching the snowfall. I opened up my windows so I could enjoy watching the snow fall while I had my devotional time reading the Bible and then reading select articles from my feeds and Mastodon.
I went outside later in the morning to put our recycle bin at the curb. I decided to stay out for a while and enjoy the snow falling around me. There is something about being out in the snow that connects with the little kid in me. It always feels a bit magical.
Later in the morning, I went out with my daughter to play in the snow for a bit. She made some heart-shaped snowballs. We built a small snowman. I didn’t have the patience to try to build a bigger one. I made snowballs and threw them at the mailbox and the recycle bin.
